What kind of “face to face” instruction can I expect? Are these videos?
With Academic Plus Online, your child will be interacting “face to face” (screen to screen) in real time with a real teacher. They will be able to have conversations, ask questions, show & tell, and engage directly.
Through our relationship manager, we will be able to match your child with the teacher who best fits their needs, and then we will work together to build a learning roadmap to support existing school-driven curriculum, areas of interest, and/or areas that need a little extra support.
Is there financial aid available?
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide financial aid.

What grade/age are the sessions for?
Pre-K-12.
Our extensive network of teachers are able to customize curriculums for elementary, middle, and high school learning. Please note, we may shorten lessons for our preschool learners.
I have multiple kids in elementary school, could they all attend the same session? Does each child need to register separately?
Each learning journey is personalized based on the specific student, their learning needs, and supplements to their ongoing school curriculum. We do not provide a one-size-fits all-model, and encourage individual instruction. However, if you have two children within the same class with the same needs, we can discuss further in the initial conversation with the relationship manager.
Who are the teachers?
We have a phenomenal network of engaging K-12 classroom teachers and learning specialists excited to support your child through a customized education journey. With the help of our relationship manager, we will match your child with the best teacher to fit their needs.
What subjects are covered?
We are able to cover all of the basic subjects - reading, writing, math, science, and more! - and can further discuss specialties and unique needs during our initial call with our relationship manager.
Do the sessions build on each other? If we miss the first session/ first week, will my child be behind?
The Academic Plus Online program is unique in that it is customized specifically for each child’s journey. Our dedicated teachers will determine which pace best suits your child’s needs.

Is the same information covered in each of the blocks?
You have the flexibility to pick the time that works best for you and your child. The teacher will be available for the interactive learning session with your child during the time slot for which you register.
We understand you have a lot going on right now, so we offer multiple time slots so that you can customize your child’s learning schedule around the rest of your family and work life.
What materials do we need for the sessions?
We will determine if any additional materials are needed in our initial call, and work through any additional needs in our first session.
Additionally, we will provide updates and any anticipated needs in our weekly progress reports.
Will there be homework or outside assignments to complete (that we will need to monitor)?
No. Our instructors will be supporting your child’s current curriculum and homework needs and will not be assigning additional homework or graded assessments. Of course, if their regular teacher assigns more than we can cover during their 2-hour block we’ll ask your child to complete that for homework. If you’d like to add additional hours, we can talk about that too. Remember, we’re in this together.
