Academics Plus is responding to COVID-19 by sticking to what we know: Education Cures. During this time of uncertainty, it is our goal as education experts to ensure our children make educational gains and don’t lose ground during this time. Most schools are sending out independent learning assignments; however, the best learning comes from direct instruction. We do not know if schools will be out for 8 weeks or the rest of the school year; however, we are operating on what we do know; Education must go on!
Academics Plus has come up with a solution to give kids strong face-to-face instruction each day and allow parents to actually get some work done while they are working remotely. We are confident that our unique model allows us to deliver the best quality instruction possible. Our 5-step process:
1. We get to know your home learning needs.
We start the process with a 30-minute video call with your Relationship Manager. During this call, you will talk about your child, their specific learning needs, and their curriculum. We’ll also cover some tips for making sure your home is ready to transition to a successful learning environment.
2. We match you with the right teacher(s).
Your relationship manager will work behind the scenes to match your child with the teacher(s) that is the best fit to meet your child’s specific learning needs. We take into account your child’s grade level, subjects, etc. to make sure it is the best match!
3. We help your child achieve academic success.
We introduce you to your teacher, who will spend your child’s first session making sure your child has everything they need to achieve academic success. At the next session, your child will begin receiving lessons from their teacher. Your Relationship Manager will stay in close contact with your teacher, especially during your first two weeks, to make sure your expectations are being met.
4. You receive weekly progress reports.
You will receive a weekly progress report that lets you know what your child accomplished during their time together, as well as any tips for creating success in the upcoming week.
5. Your child returns to school more prepared and ready to learn!
We have been delivering direct teaching instruction for years and know the value of high quality teachers. We have no doubt that our teachers will help your child return to school more prepared and ready to learn!

Our teachers will help to ensure children are truly learning.
We are not just checking assignments off a list from your child’s school. Our teachers are there to make sure your child understands concepts and curriculum being taught. Instruction is all one-on-one, so if your child has questions, we can move at their pace and make sure they understand before moving on to the next concept or assignment. Individualized curriculum also allows us to accelerate and challenge your child where necessary.Our teachers all have backgrounds in education.
Each of our teachers holds a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the field of education and has experience either in a classroom setting, as a learning specialist, private tutoring, or other related field.Our Relationship Managers are there to support both you and your child’s teacher(s).
Our Relationship Managers check in with our teachers each day, ensuring that your child’s sessions are smooth and productive. Parents will receive progress reports so that you know what your child has accomplished and what concepts are coming up, as well as any gaps that may need to be addressed. Our Relationship Managers are also available to you, as parents, should you ever have any questions or concerns.We utilize our Learning Checkup to match the right teacher and strategies to meet your child’s needs.
Each child’s Learning Checkup provides an up-to-date, clear picture of their unique learning style and specific needs. This helps our team ensure we are matching the best-fit teacher with your child, as well as equipping them with the best strategies and methods to meet your child’s needs. We don’t want children to just “get by” during this time; our goal is for children to THRIVE!We have multiple options available.
We understand that each family is unique and has different needs. That is why we offer instruction virtually, in-home, or at our learning center. We also have the flexibility and capacity to make adjusts when needed. If your child suddenly needs to go virtual due to illness, we are equipped to make that transition immediately and smoothly, so that your child doesn’t have to miss a beat. If your child’s teacher is sick or needs to be out, we have an entire team of teachers ready to jump in so that your child does not miss valuable instruction time.
