Olivia Sammak
Educational Therapist
Olivia is a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder, where she earned a B.S. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and minored in Education. Olivia has received Orton Gillingham training by the Dyslexia Resource Trust. During her time in Colorado, Olivia gained experience working with Teibel Education Consulting. Olivia also has experience teaching 4th grade in the Boulder Valley School District, where she found a passion for teaching reading and literacy. Olivia also spent time volunteering at Eye to Eye, a mentorship program for middle school students with learning disabilities. Olivia is certified in Building World Knowledge through Cox Campus, which focused on developing pairs of fiction and nonfiction books for preschool children, choosing an appropriate informational text to pair with the week’s focus book, and using informational texts and responsive instruction during real time sessions to support children reaching real time goals. Olivia’s passion lies in helping children with learning disabilities to get the help they need and she has recently begun training in Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy.
