Nona Davis
Educational Therapist

Nona Davis graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Communication Sciences and Disorders. Nona has also received training in Reading Readiness through the Neuhaus Education Center. Prior to joining Academics Plus, Nona worked full time as a Speech and Language Teacher with McNairy County Schools in Southwestern Tennessee.  There, Nona oversaw a caseload of seventy plus students across three educational campuses and grade levels encompassing head start/preschool through eighth grade.  During Nona’s studies at Howard University, Nona worked as an intern at Capitol Kids Therapy, a speech therapy clinic for pediatrics on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. Nona also worked at The Freedom Schools Division of The Children’s Defense Fund, a non-profit agency that coordinates sites for summer educational programs.  Nona is currently a graduate student at the Katz School at Yeshiva University studying Speech Language Pathology.  Nona’s goal in life is to continuously bridge her two passions: Child Advocacy and Speech Language Pathology.
